As Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Digital, Jun Abe is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and global growth of the organization. He brings over 40 years of experience at Hitachi, where he has held critical leadership roles across engineering, business management, and digital transformation initiatives.

He also serves as CEO of Digital Engineering & AI Solutions Business Unit at Hitachi, Ltd. As his previous leadership positions include CEO of the Industry & Distribution Business Unit, CEO of the Cloud Services Platform Business Unit, Head of Connective Industries Sector and Chairman of JR Automation Technologies, LLC. He has extensive experience leading all IT, OT and product businesses. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in advancing Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business, strengthening the foundation of Hitachi’s digital business across the company, and driving the convergence of IT and operational technologies.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics in Japan and has dedicated his career to advancing digital innovation and global industrial growth.
