Ryuji Uchikado began his career at Hitachi, joining the company in Tokyo in 2001 as an engineer in the Social Infrastructure Business Unit. Over the next 18 years, he served in increasingly advanced engineering positions, leading complex projects across multiple large business accounts. In 2020, Ryuji assumed the role of Vice President at Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi’s leading data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management company, in Silicon Valley. Over the next several years he drove strategic development for IT x OT synergy business, including successful integration programs with Hitachi Energy and GlobalLogic. Ryuji then advanced to Hitachi Digital in 2022 to become the company’s Chief Lumada Business Officer. Lumada, Hitachi’s business model designed to accelerate digital transformation with digital engineering, system integration, connected products and managed services, is a key growth pillar for the company. In this role, Ryuji drives Lumada business development across the company.
