Jun Taniguchi is CEO of Hitachi Digital LLC and President and CEO of Hitachi America, Ltd. Previous to these existing roles, Taniguchi served as the CEO of Hitachi Global Life Solutions, leading the charge in the product and OT sectors. In his early years at Hitachi, he served as a software engineer in the Social Innovation Business Unit working on new business development programs with a special focus on the healthcare industry. Later, as the General Manager of the Control System Platform Division, he leveraged his expertise in OT Engineering to lead the IIoT business. In his most recent role as President of Hitachi Global Life Solutions, which he held for three years, he accomplished the digitization of the product business for home appliances and commercial air-conditioning related products. And as President and CEO of Hitachi Digital he leads the company’s efforts to accelerate and enhance the worldwide digital business of the Hitachi Group and to meet the increasing market demands for digital transformation – particularly in the social infrastructure sectors, including energy, transportation, and in industrial segments, such as manufacturing.
